Pulsantiera 4F

Safety and protection for the elevator and lifting industry

Italweber offers a product that meets the most recent reference standards; since August 2017 all lifts put into operation must comply with European Standards EN 81-20:2014 and EN 81-50:2014 in order to improve accessibility and raise the safety of users and operators involved in maintenance, inspection and rescue operations, establish new criteria for the design and construction of lifts.

EN 81-20 defines the technical requirements for the construction of elevator systems. EN 81-50 defines the design rules, calculations and testing of elevator components.

We can summarize the main features of these standards by saying that to facilitate inspection and maintenance and rescue, an easily accessible workstation must be permanently installed on the roof of the cabin, in the pit, in the cabin (where there is a work area), on a platform (where there is a work area).

The inspection push-button panel for the bottom of the pit, for example, must consist of:

  • a switch that must comply with the indications for electrical safety devices and protected against unintentional actuation;
  • Direction buttons protected against accidental actuation and with the direction of movement clearly indicated
    a consent button protected against accidental activation;
  • a stop device.

All push-button panels are equipped with the new line of monobloc and modular control auxiliaries with plug-in coupling.

We have the ability to supply all types of inspection, lighting, by-pass and monitoring devices necessary as required by the above regulations.
